What is an earbud?
Earbuds are small in-ear audio devices that rest outside the ear canal held in place by the concha ridge. You can listen to music with earbuds same as you will with headphones, and they come in one size but usually with different size pads to fit different ear ridges.
Best Noise Cancelling Earbuds
One of the advantages of earbuds is that they are more compact, portable, and more comfortable especially for listening to music for a long period. These small size gadgets come with active noise cancellation (ANC), portable good size for using in the office, exercising, and mostly commuting. They are becoming top choice earbuds over the larger on-ear or over-ear headphones.
How does noise canceling earbuds work
The earbud allows ambient noise, so you don’t feel sealed off from what happening around you. Earbuds have less performance as headphones, are not so loud, and have less bass, they are less expensive.
The earbuds use an active noise-canceling or canceling technology to reduce external or background noise rendering a particularly suitable and relaxing listening atmosphere in areas with shrill background sonance. You don’t find this ANC is normal headphones. With noise cancelling circuitry, the earbuds, the electronics built into the earpiece create a loop that is 180° enabling it to eliminate background sound.
This loop acts as a sound eliminator, canceling unwanted from around you without interfering with audio output from the earbud or audio giving you clear well-deserved music or movie listening. The microphone uses a miniature microphone in the earbud that picks up background sonance.
Difference between Active Noise Cancelling and Passive Noise Reduction
Active noise-cancelling ANC vs Passive noise-reduction PNR
The earbuds use an active noise-canceling or canceling technology to reduce external or background noise rendering a particularly suitable and relaxing listening atmosphere in areas with shrill background sonance.
This uses closed-back sealed headphones which reduces passive noise. It covers the ear well to block any external sounds or noise, an in-ear design with a seal to block background noises.

When I get asked these questions, I am always like “really”, earbuds worth it? Oh yes! These gadgets are trending and people are talking and buying, why? Because it’s the convenience they want, the sound they love, the portability, and ease of use. It is worth every penny.
Are noise cancelling earbuds safe
There is one common risk or problem or downside with voice-canceling earbuds, the volume level. Health-wise, these earbuds are safe, but louder or higher volumes can harm or damage your hearing. Maintaining a low level or moderate volume at all times will not cause any problems. Other than that, there is nothing wrong or unsafe about the earbuds.
