The JBL Flip 5’s battery has a maximum capacity of 4800 mAh which is pretty standard for a speaker. On a full battery, the speaker will last you a whopping 12 hours, so you do not need to worry about it dying during a long trip. This speaker takes about two and a half hours to fully charge which is very quick considering the 12-hour playtime. The speaker charges through a type C USB cable which is a commonly used cable. If you accidentally lose the cord that comes with the speaker, you can easily replace it if you have another one lying around. To start charging, simply hook the charger chord up to an outlet and plug the other end into the speaker’s charger slot on its side.
